Morning's Golden Glow, pastel
One of my travel series pieces, I encountered this scene in Mexico. I love to view sunrise on the beach. After I had turned away to head back, the newly risen sun had bathed the entire scene in a wash of gold.

While taking a break on a bridge during a morning bike ride, I turned to see this fantastic shadow pattern from the bridge railing and the bicycles, cast on the pavement. I knew it would be a painting!
